Question

Bouncer conflict

What is the name of your state? Ohio
Two friends and I were asked to leave a bar by bouncers. We left. One of my friends went next door to a bar that was owned/operated by the same people. My other friend and I decided to go home. we were standing on the street. We went to go in the other bar to get my friend. At the door we were stopped and told we couldn't enter. My friend explained our situation to the doormen and was allowed inside to get the other friend. I was not. I asked why and they told me it was because of my clothes. I protested and one of the bouncers grabbed me and shoved me out the door then proceded to walk me for several yards away from the bar shoving me and holding me. When we were clear of the bar doorway I told the guy to let go, but he kept pushing me. I told him to let go again and again and then I broke free of his hold. He said I tried to punch him and called the cops. I was charged with assault. Just wondering... whatt gives? I didn't punch him and I didn't resist removal from the bar. I did break free with the needed amount of force when we were well into the street. Where is the line here and how is that assault? He says I tried to punch him.

- Did anyone else witness the incident? If not, it's your word against his, unless the report specifies injuries to the bouncer with photos.

Were you taken to jail or was just a report filed with the D.A.?

bouncer conflict details

I couldn't have driven a car. I wasn't dressed like most people in the bar, but neither was one of my friends. There was no injury. The bouncer isn't saying that I punched him. He's saying I tried to. Thank you.
