Yeah! They finally got the murdering SOB!! :D

Unfortunately he did not go down as many thought he would ... but, at least he had no more victims.

- Carl
Yep as seasoned as he's made out to be , I had a Feeling , it would be soon .

He got his fame ...... One week to do on a parole violation , that goes to show how their minds work .

I was down there when the troopers caught them. The son of a bitch should be put to death. I was dissapointed with the outcome. The troopers were so relieved and happy when they caught him. And after a two hour trip back to buffalo, with an escort of 90 police cars, 2 helipciopters, and three swat teams the ******* was greated at the federal court house by a a huge group of buffalonians chanthing "the buck stops here."

God bless the Longobardo Family......

The murder of a peace officer is sufficient to justify the death penalty, so he'll get that eventually ... he can kiss ANY parole chance goodbye now.

But, he'll more than likely die of old age before he's executed, anyway.

I don't believe NY has the Death Penalty , and even if it was to be initiated , I don't believe Death penalties go retroactive .

He noted death by cops , but when the nitty gritty got tough , He wasn't .

Yep , he'll serve LIFE .

A few years ago New York reinstated the death penalty. Whether they will actually implement it or not has yet to be seen. But, you can BET that the police assosications will lobby hard for it.

New York did reinstate Death Penalty.

The law that reinstated it was overtuned as unconstituational in 2004.

A new law to replace it has not passed of even emerged from committee, and it is extremely unlikely for a such a law to be passed and/or approved by the executive within this decade if ever.

Bottom line: Bucky will not get what he deserves.

-------------

As an aside... the orginal reinstatement of the death penalty was political conivance. When passed legal scholars pointed out the extreme likelyhood that the law would be tested (and fail) in court.... But Pataki got to look tough on crime. Silver had leverage to keep funding projects. And the sensibilities of some democrats were kept in check by the fact that the no one was going to be executed anyway, and high profile DP case would have a huge political whiplash. ;)

And I thought California was a haven of liberal machinations! At least we HAVE a death penalty ... okay, so it takes 15-25 years to put a mad dog down - at least we have it on paper.

The good news is that anyone in prison that wants to curry favor with the powers-that-be will be gunning for Bucky ... he'll likely get his some day.

Ah! There IS the possibility that the FEDS will take it over ... depending ont he details they might be able to gain jurisdiction over the case so as to institute the death penalty. This was one idea posited yesterday by some New York talking heads.

That still leaves the possibility open if the feds can assert jurisdiction. And even if tried in state court, he can also be tried in federal court (again, assuming the feds can assert jurisdiction).

I guarantee that it will be looked at ... it is almost certain that even the NYSP will want to see him taken out.

My guess is he'll max out in a max . in NY.

I know it hit's deep when it's POs' , but the scales are equal .

I happen to live with , and helped tremendously , with a person that seen brutal murder w/ Her x BF , Her newborn was in that house also .

He's doing 25 to life , and will never get released .

People on the Streets threatened her with death , " When " he gets released .

Yep parole board knows it too . I made sure .

Yes, but the P.O. unions have a lot of pull in NY. There may be a lot of action to see that he goes federal. It likely won't happen, but I bet you'll hear about the attempts.

Carl is right in that police unions will lobby very hard to get this passed, exspecially before spitzer is governor. And they are very powerful unions.

Phillips charges-
Aggravated muder of a police office, state trooper longobardo
2 charges of attempted muder (both of police officers)
18 car thefts
25 home invasions
Numerous other charges such as theft**************.

He deserves to die and thats it.

And anyone who has helped him should be in prison for the rest of their lives.

He blatantly attacked 3 police officers. 2 of which he came from behind and shot at 13 times. Where he could of easily walked around them. He said he want to spill troopers blood all over the floor like pig blood. If this man does not recieve the death penalty then**************
