I was stopped in my car recently by a local Officer. I had all the proper credentials/paperwork. I asked him why I was stopped, he said that I was going 30 in a 25 and I had a tail light out, the light in the rear windshield. I was subsequently searched, and i had marijuana in the car. I am representing myself in the matter, so I requested discovery, including the video from the police vehicle. The video shows my taillight lighting up as I was braking, and at no time does the speedometer in the video reach 30MPH.
Question: Can I get this thrown out as an illegal stop/search?What is the name of your state?
