Can a Male Cop search my Bra?

What is the name of your state? New Mexico

i am a young female and i was recently arrested by a male police officer for posession of marijuana, after he placed me in hand cuffs and performed a "pat search", he then led me to the front of his patrol car, and told me that he was going to search my bra and inside my blouse for any more marijuana. he also stated that he was going to do this in front of the camera in the patrol car for "his protection". as this officer proceeded with this rather indecent search, he unbuttoned my blouse and felt my breasts in direct view of the camera. This Cant be Legal!!! can anyone help me? I feel like I have been violated!

NUMBER 2: Confirming the rumors, they actually DO honk!

AND NOW, the NUMBER ONE Reason Why Your Bra Search Was Illegal - -

When he was done, the officer needed a cigarette.

So its the ole "I need to search your bra trick." I must admit I used that one a time or two.

O.K. Here is a serious answer to your question. The search was legal. It would have helped to call a female officer to the scene to do the search, but apparently there was'nt one available. She was probably busy helping the rookies with the proper bra search method. O.K. sorry I had to add that.
Since there was not a female officer available, he had you stand in front of his camera so that it could be doccumented. That was a very wise decision on his part. If you have a problem with the way he searched you then file a complaint. The tape will clear up everything. That is why he taped it. Can you imagine what type of perdicament he would be in if he had not taped it?
