can they do this???

What is the name of your state? PA

my boyfriend was locked up two weeks ago for two warrents he had in new jersey. one was for a contempt of court from back in '99 and was never notified of his sentence because he was living in LA at the time... they have scheuled a hearing at the end of march for this... is this normal for it to take so long, and can i have it moved up for him??? the other warrent was also from 3 years ago for speeding tickets, he missed the first court date because public transportation never picked him up. they rescheuled his court date and he never recieved the letter notifying him... can they do this???

You must be one dumb broad, in order to stay with such a jerk.

Contempt of court, and not showing up is a serious matter, why should the do anything for the loser? give me a good reason. He KNEW thats why is FLED to LA!!! are you that naive?

He missed a court date, becuase the public transportation didnt pick him up,, oh boo hoo hoo, what a LIAR he is, and he's your boyfriend?

He could have called a cab or car service, or maybe his parents , family, drunken or drugged out bar buddies to give him a ride.

Then to make it WORSE, they give him a SECOND CHANCE to show up in court and he fails to appear...uh DUH doesnt he know how to CALL them, or get a ride to find out the new court date.? see how incredibly STUPID he is.

Ashers, i am glad you came her to see what a FOOL you have been, and its time for you to leave the LOSER and find a REAL MAN who doesnt get arrested!

How come i know lots of men who need good women, oops they arent BAD boys who get locked up, sorry!

He won't miss his next public transportation because it will probably be provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections -- big, ugly, pewk yellow or gray bus with cages in it.

Yes, they can do that. On an out-of-state warrant, there is no need to arraign him prior to incarcerating him.

I really don't understand what you are contesting. He had outstanding warrants, and any reasonable person is going to realize that this just won't go away.

"Oh, I haven't heard anything since I missed my court date, so I guess they forgot?" I doubt it****************************.

Yippie Zappy to the rescue!!!!!!

Thanks, I wish you well in finding a new man, but first just make sure YOU are OK. If YOU are OK, then you will attract nice guys....

OOPS...nice guys want to be your friend before jumping in the sack....most women areonly used to the jerks, and a lot of really sharp, decent loving men stand by the wayside, 'casue they are not the bad boyzzz...the girls go after.

I mean whats WRONG with a guy saying he'll pick you up at 8 and he's always on time?

huh uh huh maybe Ja Rule and Ashanti finally get it. "Always On time"
