What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? New Jersey

New Jersey's child abuse reporting statute states that "any person having reasonable cause to believe that a child has been subjected to child abuse or acts of child abuse shall report the same immediately to the Division of Youth and Family Services by telephone or otherwise."

Does this include lawyers, doctors, therapists, clergy, and any other profession usually protected by privilege?

It probably does ... with some limitations for lawyers and clients, I'm sure.

CA has a similar statute mandating reporting.
