is this a crime?

What is the name of your state? california

would it be a crime if the card was canceld after paying for something? the credit card usually takes 3 days to process, if i canced right after purchase, will I be in trouble? Please someone tell me. I feel like the towing company needs to be punished. I think they are bad buissiness. but I don't want to do anything criminal. If that is a crime I would not do that, but it's not, then I consider it, so please someone tell me.

So you got towed, used a credit card that you immediately cancelled and now you're wondering if the tow company can sue you or file charges right?

Or are you asking permission to defraud someone?

Yes, it's a crime, yes, they'll probably sue you. Why was the car being towed?

Yes. We call this fraud in CA. It could even qualify as commercial burglary since you will have entered the establishment with the intent to obtain goods or services with the fraudulent use of a credit card.
