Hello,
My friend has a criminal record in New York State. He is going for a job interview on friday with CVS (he's a pharmacy student). I want to know what type of order the judge or court can give that would bar companies from not hiring him because of his criminal record. He is not looking for expungement or non-disclosure or to seal his record. He told me the judge told him to come back and that he (judge) would issue some sort of order that would not allow employers not to hire him because of his record. I just wanted to know if there is such a thing, and if so, what it is called. Thanks.

Perhaps your friend is talking about the court sealing the record , if the friend did everything the Judge required .

A judge just can can not tell an employer to hire someone .
