The District attorney contacted the defense attorney over the weekend regarding the case....is this legal? Also what happens if they have added a charge to your complaint but never tell you or swear you in on in it, you never made a plea on it?

They do it all the time, it's called trying to negotiate a plea.

Doesn't s/he know that County employees don't work on weekends ??

That probably aint a negotiated plea; that's pre-trial prepping by the DDA- s/he's gonna nail your butt.

When they work weekends, they're hot for trial.

Pleas and dog cases aren't worth giving up weekends for.
