What is the name of your state?Husband tried to get concealed weapons permit renewed and it was revoked due to an outstanding warrant from San Bernadino, CA for Assault only no battery. Charges are from 1989. Question, is there a statute of limitations for the person being charged, (my husband) and why was the charges not mentioned initially when the permit was issued in Utah; it seemed it should have showed up on the initial background check. The main issue it was such a long time ago and he was not aware of the charges, moved from CA in 1989. Thank You

The SOL is moot because the warrant was issued. The warrant will exist until either (a) he is arrested, or, (b) San Bernardino decides to remove it for whatever reason.

He needs to clear it up somehow. Chances are he can have it done via an attorney as it HAS been so long ago. He needs to call an attorney in CA.
