Didn't sign traffic ticket in DC (cop never asked me to)

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
Washington DC

I was wondering if the officer not having me sign the ticket would give me any grounds to seek to have the ticket (not wearing seatbelt) thrown out?

The signing of the ticket merely means that you acknowledge the ticket and promise to appear for your court date. The only thing this means is that it gives you a chance of beating a Failure to Appear charge if you choose to not show up, but in the end it's just delaying the inevitable.

LOL!

Not a chance. Here in Wisconsin, they don't even give you the option to sign the ticket. They simply write the ticket out in their squad, come back and hand it to you. No signature needed, unless it's a traffic accident and you are just singing a statement.
