This documentary is being produced in California and the woman who disclosed this is in California. I'm working on a documentary in which a woman discloses that she married a gay man from another country in order to help him get a green card. It would enhance our material if we could use this information, but we do not want to get her into legal or criminal trouble. Could this woman get in trouble if we use her disclosure of this information in our documentary?

Thank you.

Uh ... yes. If she can be identified, of course she can get into legal trouble. It happens on talk shows a lot, too.
