Do the police have to indentify themselves to you? What is the name of your state? Washington A few day ago in the parking lot where I work a fellow employee saw two men taking pictures of my car. They took pictures of the front and the back. When asked what they were doing they just walked away without a word. If they were the police wouldnt they have to say if they were asked? |

| Many states allow police officers to conduct investigations undercover and in secrecy. However, if you are under arrest, they have to formally identify themselves as police officers. |

| If that is the case, then can somebody please explain what a citizen's arrest is?
