Cool

Do the police have to indentify themselves to you?

What is the name of your state? Washington
A few day ago in the parking lot where I work a fellow employee saw two men taking pictures of my car. They took pictures of the front and the back. When asked what they were doing they just walked away without a word. If they were the police wouldnt they have to say if they were asked?

In that suituation? Generally, no.

I can think of a lot of reasons NOT to ID themselves.

Many states allow police officers to conduct investigations undercover and in secrecy. However, if you are under arrest, they have to formally identify themselves as police officers.

If that is the case, then can somebody please explain what a citizen's arrest is?

But, that wouldn't be a police officer, so they may not have to identify themselves.
