Hello, My son turned 18 yrs old on 7/25/08. On 8/16/08, he was at a party (lied about spending the night at a friends!) hosted by a 17 yr old. Police were called in and 10+ kids were taken to jail, about 4 them were 18 or 19 yrs old, remainder were around 16 or 17 yrs old. My son was charged with Underaged Drinking, Obstruction of Justice (hid in bathroom), and Contributing to Delinquency of a Minor. I paid a bail bondsmen $205 (10% plus fees) to bring him home right after he was processed. I'm totally new to this. My son has never been in any trouble even as a minor, A/B student, now a Senior in High School.

Have any idea what I can expect? Fines / amount? Will we have to pay the remainder of his $1350 bond fee? Should I hire an attorney to go to court on 8/21/08? Anything I should do to be proactive or for my son to tell the judge to lessen the impact?
