What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? TX

My girlfriend's daughter was recently arrested for evading arrest in Texas. The background to the story: She had just started a new job and was asked to go to Arlington TX from Houston. The company had orginally told her that they were going to fly her over - but changed the plans at the last minute. She was asked to ride with a co worker who would be driving. She had only met the coworker once and very briefly - but she agreed as she knew it woudl save money.

As they were about 30 miles outside of Arlington they were pulled over of speeding. When the driver started to pull over and slow down - he asked if "she was ready?" He sped off in the car with her in it. She pleaded for him to stop but he would not. He eventually put the car into oncoming traffic and stopped the car - jumped out and ran away. She ran out of the car but NOT away from the police. They questioned her at the scene and she fully cooperated after giving all the informaton that she knew - the placed her under arrest and said the charge was evading arrest. The driver was not capture right away.

What is the likelyhood that this could get thrown out or will she have to face some form of punishment?

Do your daughter a huge favor. Help her get an attorney and please ask her not to speak to anyone other than that attorney - not even to you?

I absolutely agree. With a good attorney she has a better than decent shot at this going away.
