There's a whole lot more to this, but I won't bore you with all the details.

Long story, short version.

My very best friend who I've known for over 25 years was charged with being
under the influence of a controlled substance, and many other things that were dismissed in court. All except the UTI charge were dismissed, and she felt forced to plead to to get her kids out of custody. (this was on the advice of her public defender)

Cops continually refused to show a warrant, but were obviously looking for a parole violator
that her husband had worked with. (The guy was not there, but another friend of theirs
had shown up about 10 minutes prior and his vehicle was parked outside, which
looks like the pv's.)

They kept screaming "where is John Doe?", over and over. When they finally
realized he really wasn't there, they suddenly noticed "thick smoke" in the house
and started tossing the house.

Husband is an occasional pot smoker, but had been asleep prior to the visitor
showing up at the house. (There was no smoke in the house, they made that
up.)

OK.. she pled under protest, and has to do what they call a PC 1000. Lost her
job, and has to pay for testing and classes. This goes on for 18 months!

I KNOW she doesn't do drugs. (If she did, she would have done them with me,
but that was a long time ago!) She has never been arrested, and I don't think
she's ever had so much as a traffic citation.

My question is: If she does a DNA test on her hair, which would prove that she
doesn't, can she petition the court to get this expunged, and what's the
process?
