expungementsWhat is the name of your state?Ohio I've got 5 or 6 misdemeanors on my record. The are the disorderly conduct, criminal damaging, assault, and domestic violence.. I started taking Paxil when I was 25 and stopped last year because I feel that this has something to do with me acting more violently. These misdemeanors occurred while I was on this medication during the last 8 years, age 25-33. I took the medication because I trusted my doctor.. after doing some research I found out that the company Paxil did not release some of its trials and now they are getting sued.. Paxil is known to cause violence and it's just now coming out. It was a new antidepressant in 1996 and I feel like I have been a ginney pig. Is there anything I can do to clear my record..? It's hard getting jobs. |

The problem you will have is that the 'expungement process' is established to allow a person to 'erase' a single error (first offender). It is NOT available to remove a batch of crimes. From the Ohio Revised Code: § 2953.31. Definitions. As used in sections 2953.31 to 2953.36 of the Revised Code: (A) "First offender" means anyone who has been convicted of an offense in this state or any other jurisdiction and who previously or subsequently has not been convicted of the same or a different offense in this state or any other jurisdiction. When two or more convictions result from or are connected with the same act or result from offenses committed at the same time, they shall be counted as one conviction. When two or three convictions result from the same indictment, information, or complaint, from the same plea of guilty, or from the same official proceeding, and result from related criminal acts that were committed within a three-month period but do not result from the same act or from offenses committed at the same time, they shall be counted as one conviction, provided that a court may decide as provided in division (C) (1) (a) of section 2953.32 of the Revised Code that it is not in the public interest for the two or three convictions to be counted as one conviction. § 2953.32. Sealing of record of conviction or bail forfeiture. (A) (1) Except as provided in section 2953.61 of the Revised Code, a first offender may apply to the sentencing court if convicted in this state, or to a court of common pleas if convicted in another state or in a federal court, for the sealing of the conviction record. Application may be made at the expiration of three years after the offender's final discharge if convicted of a felony, or at the expiration of one year after the offender's final discharge if convicted of a misdemeanor. __________________ There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution). Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport! |
