What is the name of your state? Massachusetts

A Arraignment for a friend is on monday in Florida, they moved to Boston 6 months ago, and were on MIP(misdemeanor intervention) for posession of marijuana, had something happen to where the MIP could not be mailed out in time, and the case was sent back to the court. They are unable to afford to get there to plead not guilty, and be assigned a public defender, or to hire an attorney to get them back into MIP.

Therefore, a warrant will be issued for them on Monday. It's a small case, marijuana + paraphanelia posession. They are worried of being extradited from Massachusetts to Florida, and wanted to know what the likelihood of that happening is?

Thanks.

Florida they will not extradite on misdemeaner. Don't worry.
Correction. Though it is unlikely for them to extradite on a misdemeanor, they can and will if the charging state wants to pay the costs.
