What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Oregon

So, long story short, a friend is being charged for bank robbery. He is just being held now but not charged yet. They are trying to find someone else who they can not locate so they are threating everyone else who was associated wthi the guy, are they able to do that? They are stating that they will just add names to the report so they are able to hold someone since they will not talk, is that legal? Is there anything that someone can do who is being harrassed by an FBI agent? I know it is probably an uphill battle but thought I would throw it out there and see what the throughts on it are.

Thanks

The friends have a right not to speak to investigators. But, if investigators find cause to arrest these friends or to otherwise look into them, then they can do so.

Law enforcement can bluff and bluster a lot ... they can't take action absent legal cause to take the action.

So, it's crunch time. They can either cough up the other robber, or they can stay on the radar. Hopefully for the friends, they have nothing to hide.
