Five years ago in college a I had a minor arrest (3 degree felony while intoxicated at a college party). I entered the state PTI program. Entered conditional plea, complied with the program terms for 6 moths, and had it all dismissed and subsequently expunged under NJ law. I did my own investigation. Got the state and federal fingerprint cards, mailed both, and received a clean bill of health from both state and FBI. I am now 3rd year law. I got an offer from a fed regulatory agency. They do background ("extensive") check I suspect it's for some sort of clearance. Will this show up? Will they clear me?

It might. You want to take a chance and lie about it? It it was so minor then you probably have nothing to worry about.

You said you got locked up for being intoxicated, but it was a felony? That sounds strange. What was the actual charge?
