Federal Security Clearance

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?State Name Is:Oklahoma.

I'm getting ready to submit my Federal Security Clearance Form(SF86) but here is my quandry, under Your Police Record-Module 21 is the following question: Have you EVER been charged with or convicted of any felony offenses?

I was arrested on 03/27/2001 and booked under "Attempting To Obtain CDS By Fraud".

I answered NO because the district attorneys office NEVER filed any charges against me and in fact on my OSBI report under Disposition it reads DA DECLINED TO FILE CHARGES but I'm worried that when they(Goverment) get's my OSBI report and see's that arrest they will consider my answer to Module 21 a lie. But Module 21 does not say ARRESTED.

From the hundreds of other posts on this forum asking this same question, everyone seems to think that you should be truthful and answer everything honestly.

If the background check shows up with something you did not report, then you are out of a job.

Federal Security Clearance

1.Have you EVER been charged with or convicted of any felony offense?

2.In the past 7 years, have you been arrested for, charged with, or convicted
of any offense(s) not covered in the question above?

My parents advised me on Question 1 to answer NO because I was never charged or convicted

My brother advises: Say NO to question 1 and the on question 2 circle ARREST and give date, time, explanation.

I totally agree that I should be completely honest with them.

I'm sorry to bother you with this question but I have to be ready to give my answer tomorrow morning at 0800 so the form can be transmitted.

I appreciate any advise and help.l
