What is the name of your state? VA

I was arrested yesterday and released on bond for vandalism exceeding $1000 worth of damage (felony). The officer said he had a written statement from a guy who was just recently (within last 2 weeks) arrested for grand theft auto. This guy is the one who actually did the vandalism and he's trying to save himself from another felony. Is a signed writtten statement enough to get a warrant in a case like this? The officer said it was enough to get the warrant but I dont trust that.

Depends what was in the written statement. If he says that he saw you and will testafy to that, then its enough to get a warrant. Whether or not you will get convicted is another story because of his credibility issues.
