Mother is severe chronic alcoholic. Has psychiatric problems (depression, bipolar, anxiety, compulsive liar.. etc.) Has threatened to kill herself numerous occasions one which is on record with her town police and just this past tuesday was found unconsious after ingesting sleeping pills and vodka. One can only assume this was an attempt.

If she is not in a controlled environment (rehab, hospital, asylum..) she spirals and gets inches away from killing herself before, by some miracle, someone finds her and rushes her to ER.

I need to get her commited, imprisoned, something.. somewhere where she can't willingly leave. I came across MIW.. is this available in NJ? And is it something worth pursuing?
