Are there regulations on how tight handcuffs can be placed on a person. Are they allowed to be so tight as to cause nerve injury to a persons hands? Will the nerve damage go away over time? If so how long. It has been 2 weeks.

The cuffs are to be put on a person so as to effectively restrain their movement. They should be double locked to prevent them from tightening on their own, but sometimes it happens. There is no regulation I have ever seen that indicates how many clicks you have to adjust a cuff .. you put them on until the person cannot slip free.

If you have an injury, you need to see a doctor. If there is an injury, and it was caused by the handcuffs, then you can consult an attorney and see IF you have a case.
