What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Louisiana.
My daughter got into a lover's spat in Oregon (where she was living at the time), and ended up pulling the phone out of the other person's hand as a call to police was being made. She was charged with interfering with a 911 call. The next day she left that state to return to Louisiana. NOW she has learned that she MUST be in court IN OREGON to answer the charges in a week. There is NO WAY that ANYONE can afford to pay for a trip back to Oregon for her. What should we expect?

She should have known when she was arrested/summonsed that she would have to appear in court. That's her fault for ignoring it.
