What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Illinois
According to discovery, to the defendent, the state must furnish the name of all witnesses intended to be called along with their relevant statements. I am filing a motion to suppress evidence and quash arrest. Can state witnesses testify to alleged facts, not provided to the defense, as their relevant statements? If not, what would be the appropriate objection to such testimony? And why? Is this answer verified by rules of evidence or any other rule regarding evidence or testimony??
