Surrender. There is probably a warrant for your arrest.

sound like fear

Hey,
If I were you I would schedule a court date with the court. Tell them you want to straighten out this mess you found yourself in. You need to do this soon. I wouldn't worry about the age you are. You lied to a cop and that was wrong. You must have your reasons, and the judge is gonna want to know why you lied. Maybe he won't. There so busy a lot of the time they don't have time to think, they just do quota stuff. But it is THE BEST thing you can do, and that again is to get it over with. Go to the court and tell them what's going on. Schedule a court date, or else your gonna be worried sick about it, and it will not go away until you do this. Even something as bad as what you got in trouble for won't go away. Don't be afraid of this process, the courts are run by our fellow american citizens.

Go to the couurt and get it straightened out. RIght away. There probably IS an arrest warrant for you by now. Just be honest, and tell the judge that you were scared and upset and didnt realize the consequences. This is the BEST scenario for you AND any of your friends too, because if they are looking for you, they will harass your friends and family, and make surprise appearances at peoples houses that you associate with, thus drawing heat towards other people. That is definately NOTwhat you want if you want to stay on good terms with your friends!

WTF?

Earth to Earthmother, do you read,,, this is planet earth calling Earthmother, do you read, over?

Where do you come up with this wisdom?

If the police were actually going to waste the time and energy to do the things you suggest, because a 15 year old missed his court date for the alleged age discrepancy, wouldn't the OP have discovered this by now? After all, this happened nearly two and a half years ago.

So do you actually believe that the police are going to suddenly start appearing at all the places he frequents and/or begin harassing his friends?
Or is it more likely that they will simply wait until he is picked up on the warrant? (provided of course, there actually is a warrant)

bebejjp17,
Don't concern yourself with Earthmother's opinion of how the police will handle the matter, she may go by Earthmother, but she's in the clouds with most of her thoughts. I don't believe she's had both feet planted on the real planet earth in quite some time.

When you say you were given a court date, was this in the form of a citation which you were required to sign? If so, do you still have this paper? What are the actual charges listed on the citation?
Did you actually provide a false age to them and if so, under what circumstances?

Also, have you applied for and or received a drivers license in New York state?
