How do I file a motion or advice on situation.

What is the name of your state? Washington, DC

Backstory: On April 7th I went down to see my landlord to discuss the fact that she needed to do some much needed repairs that I have been requesting for months. Such as the heating/ac convector unit. I told the landlord if they were not done soon I would be left with no choice but to call the authorities that monitor landlords. At this point she became irate and stated she would not be threatened and that I was to leave her office immeadetly.

At this point I told her I would leave if she gave me an answer one way or another. She said she was "done with me" and was going to call the police to remove me. I waved my hand that this was not nessasary and that we could handle this as adults. She hit my hand with the phone and proceeded to call the police and inform them that I had twisted her hand backwards. I assure you I did not. As t here was no one else in the office neither side has a witness.

The police came. Took her report. Told me that they were taking my report, in front of a witness. Come to find out a day later when the police arrest me that the officer only took her report. I was arrested and released 3 hours later with a citation to appear in cours on the 24th of april.

I have been told that there is a highly likelyhood that this will be "no papered" as in charges dropped.

If the state goes on with the case is their a way for me to file a motion for dismissal?

If anyone is in need of more information please let me know and I will try my best to give what you need. As you can imagine this is all very disheartning. And yes I am aware this is just information and not legal advice.
