I have property that was seized during a police search of a friends residence and they after finding that the items were not hot (on their "hot list") will still not release these items. They now say they need receipts for each item for them to be released. I have one receipt, another item was a christmas gift and the third I can't find the receipt and the company I purchase the pressure washer from has gone out of business.
How to I obtain an order from the courts or anyone in authority to have them release MY property and is this legal that they can do this to joe q. public?
