I Don't Live There!!!What is the name of your state? Florida The police had a search warrant for my brother's house and I was there dropping off his kids when they came in. I go to my brother's house everyday. Just because there were pictures of me and some of my girlfriends in one of the rooms they said it was my room. They found traces of cocaine on a plate in that room and pinned it on me. They also found heroine and pinned that on my brother and me. There were two other people there that had drugs on them and they were arrested as well. I heard that one of them already got off. But now they are trying to pin the heroine and cocaine on me. I don't even live there. I have my own residence. I go to my brothers house everyday, just like I visit my mother's house everyday. I have never ever been in trouble before and am currently on bond. I really can't afford a lawyer at this time because I quit my job because of this. (I work with kids). The public defender really isn't helping me and I feel like my rights have been violated due to the fact they keep postponing the courtdates. |

| Your attorney can raise these issues at trial to try and create reasonable doubt. If there is all this drug activity going on at your brother's house, why do you keep going there? This daily journey might just add to a belief that you are involved. Keep in mind that until there are court hearings, there may not be a whole lot that your public defender can do. Staying busy just to BE busy is pointless. if you were paying him or her by the hour, I am sure they would be happy to do busy work and bill you for it. However, as they are paid by the taxpayers and likely has a great caseload, the P.D. does not likely have a great deal of time to just be busy for the heck of it. And, you quit your job? So, how DO you earn a living? If you have money, and support yourself without means, that may lend itself to being involved in drugs, too. You might want to ask your attorney about the trial delays. Chances are your attorney has agreed to this and has waived any speedy trial rights. If you want to go to trial immediately, let your attorney know. - Carl

not guiltyI quit my job because of this charge. I've been doing other jobs on the side to make money not drug dealing. When I was going there there was no drug activity. I just went to drop of his kids. I just talked to my public defender and she basically told me to get a lawyer, but I can't afford one. |
