What is the name of your state? Louisiana

I have a friend who was arrested back in 2000 for ID theft/forgery. He was trying to get into a club and a friend of his made him a phony ID. It didn't work obviously. He never went to court, and a warrant was issued (not an arrest warrant, maybe a summons thing). Since that time, he was to appear in court for it, but missed out on it again. The price he has to pay for the warrant is >$500. He plans to wait till the statue of limitations is passed. How long must he wait till the limitations have passed?

There is no litit on how long a warrant will last. It will last until your friend answers it or dies. I've recently heard from others in here that some municipalities "clean up" old warrants every 20 years or so, but it seems like a long wait.
