Illegal DNA search

What is the name of your state? New york

I had Police from another state kick in my door, tell me they were going to arrest me for a murder if I didn't answer their questions. I told them I wanted to speak to a lawyer and they threw my phone on the floor and stood in front of it. The other cop grab me and held me against the wall and stuck a dna stick in my mouth telling me if I didn't cooperate they would arrest me. Then they ask me a bunch of question about the victim that was murdered and told me I had to answer them or they would take me downtown and be arrested.
That was in August of 2002 and they finally found the person who matched the DNA they were looking for and arrested him for the murder. He was in the same state they were from.
I was recently told I have a lawsuit against them because they didn't have probable cause to take my DNA and because they forced me to answer their questions. Is this true?

**A: yes, it's true. Do you have any video of the incident or eyes that were there? If so, you are looking at a 6 figure lawsuit.

Why have you posted so many questions here and only now this seemed important?
If you were innocent, why didn't you cooporate?
You post here also using NH, is that the other state?
If you sue, can you prove your charges?
What will they find?

$10,000 should get you started. Plunk that down on a lawyer's desk and you will have a great lawsuit!

I posted this question for my brother who lives in NYC and is involved in this high profile case. I posted the question that he typed. I didn't think people were going to do a history check on my posting.
To read more about my brother and this case click here http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qn4154/is_200208/ai_n12334743 and read the sixth paragraph where it mentions that police interviewed him. There is an article somewhere where my brother complained about the police action and there is a book called "Invisible Eden" which discribes what the police did to his apartment and to him in detail. I can't find the article yet but I am searching for it.
I would welcome any comment or advice that I could give my brother.
