Question

illegal search ??

What is the name of your state? iowa I was arrested for robbery 2nd they asked to search car and home i said to get a warrant the search warrant said it was for a car registered to me but i had sold vehicle they searched anyways said there was no plates on car but tow company has tow reciept showing correct new place showing new owner the detectives removed the plates because when i went to get out of impound no plates so basically they took and searched a vehicle that wasnt even mine does this make it an illegal search and seizure??? He also said the victim whos purse i stole requested a no contact order but i noticed on the paper work no copy was sent to her or a signature in witness spot for person requesting it .there was an article in the local paper and it was chuck full of lies 1st off he said they were able to locate me by the plates on vehicle but neither my plates nor the new ones of my roommate who bought the car are registered at the address in warrant reside he found me because victim recognized me and was able to pull up paperwork of financial assistance i had recieved from them Basically the det. stole my plates of my car claimed there were none on car and i have proof otherwise they also had house listed on search warrant which was all correct info. Also they had car towed before they even had warrant. He also penciled in the items sought section my old plate # it wasnt typed like rest of warrant with judge signature. Also in the paper the det. said i backed into a co worker of victim and struck him in the arm the man was beside my car and when i shifted to drive from park he tried to open my door he wasnt struck by anything i just pulled away. Does this make the whole search warrant illegal since they were both on one warrant ? Please help this guy has it out for me i am guilty of theft but i didnt keep or use any of her things such as credit cards cash ect. But the fact remains this det. stole the new plates belonging to my roommate that were on the car when the towed it now she backed out of sale cuz of all the fees incured due to towing and storage . I had to go pay since the release came listing me as owner and register but that was not case I have the title and registration showing roommate as current owner. Do i have a case worht talking to an attorney ????
thank you Jody also due i have a case against the paper it was 80 % lies all told by detective ??? defamation of character slander maybe it made me out to look like a raving lunatic who ran over a man with her car it was horrible not to mention the actuall victims didnt want to comment if i ran over the guy he wouldve been the one requsting a no contact there was no force or threating involed period it was a theft of a purse i kept and was planning on returning due to coming to my senses she got it all back also i dont even think she pressed charges it was the det. He is no better than me he stole plates off car and got rid of them trying to ensure my conviction this is crap ..... Please help me out so i know what to do ???

***Every once in a while a detective screws up big time. That detective used his badge to steal and make you look bad. Get a lawyer as soon as posable. Your lawyer will have him arrested immediately. Sense he did this under the color of the law, he will not be entitled to bail. You will be suing not only him but the PD and the city as well (this where the big money is going to come from). You will need people to testify that you were made to look like a fool, and that you may not be able to get a decent job because of it. If you can't get a job making $45.00 per hour but do get one making $8.00 they will have to pay you what the difference would come to, including cost of living raises, until you would be 65 years old. This will come to quit a large sum of cash. The heck with the robbery, you struck paydirt!
