information about warrantsthe state that this happened in is Georgia. my husband and i were having an arguement outside the police came on the scene when they got there the arguement was over we were both sitting down. the to officers approached us and asked what the problem was we both said nothing that everything was okay. one of the officer's began to look angry he told my husband to come to him to which my husband responded i am a citizen just as you are if you want to talk to me come to me, his partner was standing next to my husband. the officer then placed his hand on his gun that is when i asked him what was the problem he then responded to me sit down and shut up when i told him he did not have to speak to me in that tone he walked over to me and grabbed my hand i am a muslim it is against my religion for any man to touch me who i am not married to or related to, so out of instinct i told him not to touch me he then grabbed and threw me against the car(i was four months pregnant) my husband stood up and turned around and called my name the other police officer then hit my husband. about 8 police officers were called because my husband did not fall on the ground these officers beat my husband and they arrested the both of us. we were in a very bad situation when the court dates came around (homeless) so we were unable to go to court. they issued bench warrants for the both of us. my husband was picked up last week and i was told to make sure i took care of the matter. i don't know what action to take from here and what legal recourse i have. |
