Insurance License background check

What is the name of your state?Arizona

I am applying to get my insurance license and I have to get my background check done.

about 2 years ago when i was 18 I was arrested for Marijuana possession, I was offered a diversion program through the mail. I entered the program and completed it. Charges were never filed against me and I never had to goto court.

When the states do my background check It will show that I was arrested, so i'm unsure how to respond in the application question. I don't have a felony conviction, but I do have a felony arrest. Most of the questions are like have you ever been convicted of a felony with or without adjucation. or have you ever been convicted of a felony? no is not a correct response if you ever participated in a diversion program.

2 different questions, What should I do?

I don't know how AZ works, however, charged and convicted are two WAY different concepts. I am not sure how or what a diversion program is, but here in WI we have deferred prosecution. Basically, that's saying that if aren't charged with anything in a set period of time, the charges will be dropped. If you falter on that, the court will enter a guilty plea with a default judgement.

I guess, in reading your post, I don't quite understand what a diversion program is.

As a side note, how the hell is possession of THC a felony? Did you have a truck load or something?

*** The answer to your question seems clear. If the form states 'no is not a correct answer if you ever participated in a diversion program', then the obvious correct answer would be yes (as you HAVE participated in a diversion program).

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!

I spoke with a lawyer and she said the program I went through was more then a diversion program it was a convictionless program.

She told me that I could use no as my answer.

I had about 10.00 worth in my vehicle. Anyone make a suggestion on a type of lawyer to contact?

And did you get that in writing??? Will she provide free legal services if/when you get fired for lying on your application.
Simply, someone is confused here..... and it isn't me.
