What is the name of your state? Texas

I would like to know the statues of limitation for a charge of assault?
Can similar charge be entered in the same trial against the plantiff?
If so, please site supporting cases. :)

Once you've been charged with any crime there is no statute of limitations, so you can't run from a case and expect it to go away because it won't. But if you have not been charged with assault then the statutue of limitations is generally about two years for prosecution of the case in criminal court, generally one year in civil court.

Who would the Plaintiff be? Is it your alleged victim?

In criminal cases only the Government is the Plaintiff, not the victim (he or she is a Government witness).

In civil cases you can file a countersuit within the same case.
