Lying on the stand, can I press charges? What is the name of your state? NY My ex repeatedly lied on the stand during our custody trial. I presented physical evidence to prove this, and it showed that he is a complete liar. His lies were blatant, obvious, and he did it purposely to better his situation. Can I have him charged with purjury? |

| We are still in the middle of it. My next date isn't until June. Would the outcome, either way effect whether or not I can press charges? Thanks ! |

| its tough. If you win custody then the court would have to make a finding of perjury against your ex. Just winning alone doesnt mean he lied. It just means the judge found you more credible. If you lose custody, well that means the judge believed him despite the evidence you provided to the contrary. |
