Misdemeanor Recordshow long are misdemeanor records kept on file if a person has no previous arrests nor any since in the state of indiana, or city of indianapolis, or marion county? is there a way that this record can be erased from public file? |

| i live in california, but i will try to answer your question. any conviction you have will stay on your record for life. however, you can contact the local court in your jurisdiction and attempt to have the conviction removed. you should probably consult with a criminal attorney for the appropriate way to go about this. i don't normally deal with that side of the law, but hopefully someone else will step up and give you a better answer. tyris |

| You will have to file with the court for an expungement. You will have to provide a compelling reason for an expungement for it to be granted. You will need to see an attorney for this, it is not something that one can usually do on their own. |
