I am 18 years old and was recently arrested for shoplifting about $200 worth of computer stuff from a target near my house. My court date is the end of August, i have to go get fingerprinted before then. This is my first ever arrest, its a petty theft charge. Still living at home and doing what i can to keep it from parents. Was just wondering what happens in court and what do i need to do if anything to prepare for the court date. And what are the normal consequences for crimes such as this.
