Need Warrant Info please!!What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California and Florida I was just released from Jackson State Prison and I had outstanding warrants in California and Florida and they failed to or denied t come get me. Does this mean that my warrants are now dead? Can I argue to get new court dates set so I can walk in on my own and fight my cases since they failed to come get me? |

| No. The warrants are still active. It just means that those states failed to offer to pay for your extradition and travel to their state. Rest assured, the next time you are arrested or even get a traffic ticket, you will likely wait in lockup while the states are asked once again if they want to extradite. I would suggest getting a lawyer in those states in the county where the warrants were issued and have them help you take care of things. You will need to show up at some point, but get a lawyer first to make sure you don't get locked up for asking the police how to resolve things. |
