NYS summons court date on weekend


What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NY

i recieved 2 summons one for underage poss. alcohol the other for trespassing

one court date is july 5th a sunday and other one july 11th a saturday.
the court building is open mon-fri
what do i do?
are they dismissed

Call the court and ask. Ignoring them will result in a warrant for your arrest.

Check with the clerk ,but be sure where you are actually suppose to appear .

Some smaller communities hold court on weekends .

Judging from his name, I'm guessing he's from Brooklyn, in which case, I think the date gets pushed to the next day in which the court is open (i.e. the following Monday). I'd still call and check though, as sometimes they may assign a completely new date.
