What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? From the state of Illinois. Some employer did a background check on me. He said I had a old warrant from the state of Mo. Last time I was in MO. was 1976 and have no knowledge of this warrant. Is there anything I could do to clear this off my name. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

sure. Go to Missouri and walk into the police station and tell them you have a warrant for your arrest. They should subsequently arrest you and tell you why you are being arrested. You then get to go to court and defend yourself against whatever the warrant was for.
