Old Fines

In August of 2001 I was charged with Vandalism and pleaded guilty. I served 2 weeks in county jail and ordered to pay half of $4,800. I have not paid the fine and have had few warrants and failure to appears. I want to take care of this matter and wonder if i will have to go back to jail or can i just pay the fine, I am aware the fine will in fact be more since the delinquency. I planning on applying for Oakland Police Dept also but i need to take care of my legal matter first and need to resolve this matter ASAP.

And you expect that you have even a slight possibility of being hired?
(Then again, it IS Oakland...)
