I have recently recieved a ticket for 'Open Alcohol In Public'. I have no previous charges of any kind so this is my first misdemeanor. My question is, should I plead guilty and hope things go over well? Or should I go with not guilty and get a lawyer?

You'll most likely get a fine ......If you apologize It may be reduced ...

I was thinking of just pleading guilty (sometimes judge may lessen charge for admiting to the crime). Also I will apologize for the crime and let the judge know I have researched the issue and am now fully aware of it.
