Please Help!

in pa, the police came to my house to serve another person with a restraining warrant. police saw marijuana through the windows. i had to wait outside for almost 2 hours with the police, until they got a search warrant. is this legal?

Once they got the search warranty, they asked me if anything was in the house, and told them yes and where. After finding 7/8 of an oz. which were bagged, they decided to arrest me and call in the dogs. I was taken to jail, and my mom had to wait outside while the dogs came--another hour. No was permitted in the house for 4 hours. They tried setting people up that called the house, and they hid their cars and ambushed anyone who pulled in the driveway. One car pulled in and they had the dogs go through the car and they found a small amount of pot. Is any of this legal? And they said if I didn't sign a paper admitting to everything they found, they would also arrest my sister. I signed the paper.

evidence in plain view gives officers probable cause to obtain a warrent. the police are allowed then to secure the scene in an effort to preserve evidence. you're distribution business gives the police (also probable cause) the right to search any vehicle that comes to your home for whatever reason. you opened the door in more ways than one
