pre-indictment hearing???

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? texas

what are my rights/ oppurtunities with regard to ma pre-indictment hearing. (evading arrest with a vehicle). i am innocent and will take it to jury if necessary. i would like to know how to file for a hearing myself. i already know i should "contact an attorney"....what will an attorney do ? what can i do?
