| You do not present any evidence that the stop was illegal. An officer can stop someone for a burned out light and upon examination of the driver and vehicle, he may determine there is just cause for more serious violations of the law and not cite the driver for the burned out light. It could be possible the cause for the stop did not warrant a citation. I was pulled over once because the door on my canopy was not fully closed. Could I be cited for that? No, it is not illegal to drive a pickup with a canopy door unlatched. But if the officer found anything else that was cause for giving me a citation, he could have.
You say you were charged with driving under the influence of drugs, was a blood test taken to prove it? If not, you should contact a local attorney and challenge the citation. |
