Public Intoxication arrest?

What is the name of your state? New Jersey

Three days ago I went to a bar and unfortunately for me I slipped into a blackout. The next thing I remember was being at a hospital where I was treated for a laceration and slept for a couple of hours before the nurse asked me to leave. While leaving I was given a patient copy which stated what I had been treated for and ETOH intoxication was checked. I'm worried I might have an arrest for public intoxication but i'm not sure how I ascertain that. Does being arrested imply spending time in a jail? What would be the best course of action for me? I'm planning going back to the same bar and also the police station in the area to enquire. Is it possible that I was given a citation by the police and sent to the hospital because I was injured? If so what is the procedure the police follows for giving a citation? I'd be grateful if someone can advice...thanks in advance

Order a copy of your hospital records. They will say how you were brought in (via ambulance, police, walked in, etc).

Thanks for the reply. I called up the hospital and they said I was brought in an ambulance. I even called up the police station and was tansferred to courts. I was told by the person that I spoke to that if i had been arrested I'd have been taken to the police station and she doesn't believe me when I tell her that I don't remember anything. Anyways, she looked up and told me that there was no record with my name on it.
