What is the name of your state? Mo. If someone is arrested for drug possesion and a testimony is given after the arrest, will the testimony be part of public record after the case is closed?

Missouri is the state. Some police records are available to the public upon request. If someone arrested for drugs and questioned would their (the offender) statement be made available to the public if requested.

It all depends under what circumstances your providing the statement. If it's made to the police during their evidence gathering part of an investigation and you've been read your Miranda rights, then yes, you can count on it coming out and in a light that will do the most damage.

If it's while working with the police as a confidential informant, then it is not so easy to get the information, but it still happens. Personally, I wouldn't risk my life counting on anything being "confidential"

Best advice, don't say anything you wouldn't want to be printed in the local newspaper.
