Punishable in Oregon

What is the name of your state? Oregon

What are punishments for those offenses in Oregon:

1) Unlawful Possesion of weapon (gun)
2) Possession of pot less than one ounce
3) Expired tags on license plate
4) No auto insurance

My step brother was arrested on July 11 for those offenses above when he got pulled by the police for expired tags. He hasn't got his bail set which he has to stay in the jail until next week for the judge to hear is what I am wondering why?

I was wondering what those punishments he could face (felony or misdemeanour)?

Thanks,
Tom

By the way, I think it is his second arrest due to the pot possession, but I am not sure if it was expunged or dismissed or convicted, so please tell me what happened if it is his first offense or second offense.

Wink

There's too many variables to say.
--was the gun registered to him ?
--does he have a prior felony conviction (=felon w/firearm=separate felony)
--if the filing Prosecutor decides to file drugs with a firearm = felony.
--was the gun loaded ? concealed ?

the gun is too much of a variable to foretell the outcome.

Post the code sections (& any enhancements) he is charged with violating.

Not to mention also the possession, that while it seems a small amount can and will come into play if there is any sort of probation or prior charge...

Even the traffic violations can come into play depending on history.

I would gander to guess there are priors due to the fact they are holding him without a hearing for so long.

I dont know if the gun is registered to him, but it was concealed.

The code is: OSB 38482239.

I was just wondering why his bail hasnt been set since 7/11. Is that cuz he has to wait for the judge next week to set bail hearing?
